Our Story
Simple Host wasn't created in a Silicon Valley office. It was born in the chaos of a busy Saturday night, between seating guests and managing waitlists.
I didn't choose restaurants—I was born into them. My father spent his whole career in the business, and I spent my childhood tagging along, learning the ropes whether I wanted to or not. By the time I was a teenager, I knew how to seat a four-top, deal with a wait, and calm down an angry customer before they asked for the manager.
Eventually, my father, brother and I went into business together. We've owned restaurants in New York and down in Florida. Different places, different menus, same headaches. And the biggest headache, honestly, was staying organized.
Finding good hosts is hard enough. Training them on complicated software made it worse. Everything out there was bloated, confusing, and took forever to learn. We'd lose people before they even got comfortable. I kept thinking there had to be something simpler—something a new hire could figure out in minutes, not days. When I couldn't find it, I decided to build it myself.
In 2017, Pete decided to solve this problem himself. After long shifts at his restaurant, he would come home and start coding. Night after night, fueled by the same passion that drove his family to build successful businesses, he crafted a solution.
The goal was simple: create a system so intuitive that a new host could walk in, pick up an iPad, and start seating guests within minutes. No manuals. No training videos. No frustration.
That's how Simple Host was born.

Over the past 8 years, Simple Host has grown significantly. What started as Pete's late-night coding sessions has evolved into a full development team. Today, Pete and his brother lead the company together, with a dedicated team of developers bringing new features to life. While the team has grown, all decisions still run through the brothers who started it all.
