How many SMS messages are included?

Each plan includes monthly SMS credits that roll over: Basic (250), Professional (500), and VIP (1,000). Unused credits carry forward to the next month, so you never lose what you don't use.

Is it really two-way texting?

Yes. Guests can reply to any text you send, and their response appears instantly in the Simple Host app. You can continue the conversation back and forth as needed.

What number do texts come from?

Texts come from a dedicated number assigned to your restaurant—not from your personal phone or a generic short code. Guests see a real phone number they can text back to.

Can I customize the message templates?

Yes. Create your own templates for table-ready notifications, reservation confirmations, and reminders. Include your restaurant name, personalize the tone, and add any details you want.

Are reservation reminders sent automatically?

Yes. You can enable automatic reminders that send the day before a reservation. Guests can reply to confirm, which updates their reservation status in the app.

What happens when I run out of SMS credits?

You can purchase additional SMS credits anytime from your account settings. We'll also notify you when your credits are running low so you're never caught off guard.

Can multiple staff members send texts?

Yes. Any team member logged into Simple Host can send texts and see guest replies. All conversations are visible to the whole team so everyone stays informed.

Do SMS notifications work internationally?

SMS notifications currently work for US and Canadian phone numbers. International messaging support is on our roadmap for future releases.
